Ms. Chen has been an active member of the local Chinese and Asian communities in Metro Detroit for over fourteen years and previously served as Vice-President of the Chinese Association of Greater Detroit (CAGD) and the Executive Vice President of the CAGD Foundation. She was also the culture chair of the Council of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) and is active with the Detroit Chinese Business Association (DCBA) and Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC). Ms. Chen has a M.S. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and an M.B.A. from Wayne State University in Detroit. She previously worked for the Ford Motor Company and also has experience in the utility, healthcare and IT consulting industries.
